Meet Sarah Cooke-Williams

Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Sarah Cooke- Williams is an up and coming writer with focuses on health, International Relations, and culture. She has lived in various cities, in north, south, and central Florida. She is currently a senior at Florida International University, majoring in History.

Her passion for writing began as a child, where she often wrote short stories. She began turning these short stories into screenplays and decided to make it a profession after being encouraged by a high school teacher. Her love for researching and reporting was discovered during her freshman year of college. She worked for three years as a childcare worker before resigning to move to Gainesville. After a year she moved back to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and worked for over a year as a medical scribe. She worked in various medical specialties such as Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Pediatrics. After a year, she moved to Jacksonville where she attended the University of North Florida for a semester. She then returned back to South Florida, finally settling in Miami. She briefly worked as a medical receptionist for an MRI facility in Boca Raton, Florida.

In addition to writing, she also shares a passion for music, playing the piano and producing. She speaks Spanish, Portuguese, tactile sign language, and some Turkish. Her love for different languages and cultures have greatly influenced her writing techniques. Continuing to write in her spare time, she hopes to one day make a universal impact with her writings.
