NAACP Activist Targets Ambush-Style Shooting, Claims ‘Career Is A Choice’

Talbert W. Swan, the President of the NAACP Greater Springfield, MA Branch tweeted “There’s no such thing as BLUE LIVES”, in apparent response to what appeared to be an ambush-style shooting of two sheriff’s deputies in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Fox News says Talbert tweeted, “No one deserves to be unjustly murdered, police or citizens,” Swan continued. “If you’re expressing outrage over the shooting of two sheriff’s deputies, but we’re defending #KyleRittenhouse murdering two protesters in #Kenosha only days ago, you need to shut up and have a seat.”

Talbert was referring to a 31-year-old female and 24-year-old male deputies, who were ambushed and shot while sitting in their patrol car at a Metro rail station in LA.

The unprovoked attack was caught on video.

Protestors who showed up to the hospital where the sheriff’s deputies were being treated were heard saying ‘Death to the police’ and ‘Kill the police,’ 

Who Is Talbert Swan?

According to his Facebook, Bishop Talbert Swan is a pastor, activist, author, radio talk show host, NAACP president, National Chaplain, Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. Assistant General Secretary, COGIC.

He is is the pastor of the Spring of Hope Church Of God In Christ, Assistant General Secretary for the National Church Of God In Christ, National Chaplain of Iota Phi Theta.

Swan is no stranger to causing controversy, as he was once permanently banned from Twitter in 2018 for ‘hateful conduct’, according to MassLive.
