“It’s more than anything we’ve known in human history. So, the timing is very, very important. If we can stop it early, we can save lives.”Dr. Li-Meng Yan
The statement comes from Dr. Li-Meng Yan, the Hong Kong virologist who fled to the US earlier this year. She was being interviewed by Bill Hemmer of Fox News’ ‘Bill Hemmer Reports’ last Monday. The video below is courtesy of Fox News.Watch the latest video at foxnews.com
Yan claims that the Beijing government knew in December that more than 40 citizens had already been infected with the virus and “human-to-human transmissions [were] already [occurring] at that time.”
Who is Dr. Li-Meng Yan?
According to multiple news and media websites, Dr. Li-Meng Yan is a respected doctor who received her degree from XiangYa Medical College of Central South University, and a Ph.D. from Southern Medical University, both of which are located in China. Her main specialties focus on vaccines for curing influenza as well as cellular immunology, according to her profile on the virtual keystone symposia website.
Yan says she was one of the first physicians sent to the now notorious Wuhan District of China to examine the novel coronavirus and its effects on people. Yan also mentions that everyone involved with the research were asked to keep quiet about it.
What is absolutely known is the fact that Yan has taken an extremely dangerous gamble by fleeing Hong Kong and leaving her world behind. Yan is in hiding says Fox News, fearing her life is now in danger since turning whistleblower.
Yan also mentioned in the Fox News article, that the Chinese government swarmed her hometown of Qingdao and that agents ripped apart her tiny apartment and questioned her parents. When she contacted her mother and father, they pleaded with her to come home, told her she didn’t know what she was talking about and begged her to give up the fight.
“The reason I came to the U.S. is because I deliver the message of the truth of COVID,” she told Fox News from an undisclosed location.
But it seems that the Chinese government wasn’t the only entity accused of covering up early details about the novel coronavirus. Yan has also implicated the World Health Organisation (WHO) advisor Professor Malik Peiris of being aware yet failing to address it.
Unsurprisingly, The WHO organization nearly fell over each other in their attempt to deny any wrongdoing, stating “Professor Malik Peiris is an infectious disease expert who has been on WHO missions and expert groups – as are many people eminent in their fields,” WHO spokeswoman Margaret Ann Harris said in an email. “That does not make him a WHO staff member, nor does he represent WHO.”
Here’s a shock – Naturally, Chinese Embassy officials told Fox News they don’t even know who Dr. Li-Meng Yan is.
