Backlash Against Leftist Mob Rule Growing

Fox News reports that there is a growing backlash against the leftist mob rule. This seems to be fueled by the growing violence in cities, the increasing protests, the so-called rise of anti-fascist groups, and the nearly relentless persecution of anyone complimenting President Trump.

Liz Peek writes that at least 40 percent of Republicans in early June thought the “underlying anger of the protesters” was fully justified after the killing of Floyd; later in the month, only 18 percent thought so.

George Floyd died on May 25, 2020, while being detained by Minneapolis police. A New York Times article claims to have reconstructed the last minutes of Floyd’s life, stating: “By combining videos from bystanders and security cameras, reviewing official documents and consulting experts, The New York Times reconstructed in detail the minutes leading to Mr. Floyd’s death. Our video shows officers taking a series of actions that violated the policies of the Minneapolis Police Department and turned fatal, leaving Mr. Floyd unable to breathe, even as he and onlookers called out for help.”

The article goes on to mention the Goya Food’s CEO Robert Unanue had to say that he was “not apologizing” for recently complimenting President Trump as a “great builder”.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, as well as other celebrities, seemed to have a heyday recently, slamming the Goya Foods CEO just because he praised the President of the United States.

The news report also mentioned that the Immigrant youth-focused organization United We Dream even went so far as to create a petition for people to stop buying goods from the company, saying it “wouldn’t support those who endorse and comply with a White Supremacist regime.”

ABC News also added that “Trump has previously called Mexican immigrants “rapists” who are “bringing crime” and “bringing drugs” to the U.S. His administration also has faced outrage for policies that have separated immigrant children from their parents at the southern border.”

ABC as well as many other news outlets have stated that the hashtags #BoycottGoya and #Goyaway began trending on Twitter last Thursday evening, with everyone from politicians to musicians calling for Americans to veer away from the company’s goods, which could prove detrimental to the company.

It’s a shame that everyone has forgotten how much the company does for the American public. Goya’s website lists many contributions to the public, including donating masks during the Covid Pandemic as well as donating hundreds of thousands of pounds of food to the needy.

How the ongoing protests and violence in cities across America will affect the upcoming elections is still unknown. Liz Peek agrees with Unanue then he says that “It’s suppression of speech”.

With most Americans supporting the police departments, the growing backlash aimed at the “Leftist Mob” as Liz Peek calls them, could just end up backfiring against the Democratic Party.

She also says that (Americans) “are also proud of their country and disagree with (Joe) Biden’s assertion that we are a “profoundly racist” nation. Americans recognize our country’s faults but also celebrate her virtues and her history.”
