Redskins’ head coach, recently let go by the Carolina Panthers, Ron Rivera has been assisting Redskins team owner Dan Snyder in brainstorming for new potential monikers for the franchise.

“If we get it done in time for the season, it would be awesome,” Rivera said to The Washington Post.

He continued, “We came up with a couple of names – two of them I really like.”

Fans and players alike of course are chiming in as well, with everyone having a unique perspective on what the new name should be in light of the fact that a change is inevitable.

Nike, FedEx, and various other big name sponsors and supporters of the Redskins all jumped on board with defunding the franchise in a domino like fashion last week as it became increasingly clear that this would be a topic of controversy if the name were to continue being used.
