Denny Hamlin took home his 6th victory at Pocono this weekend, tying NASCAR great Jeff Gordon for most all time at the venue.

Hamlin put together a finish on old tires after having stayed out probably longer than he should have this past Sunday, taking a rather calculated risk at a chance to take home the win.
This was a rare doubleheader for NASCAR, and even more rare when you note the fact that the finishing order between Hamlin and Harvick was reversed between the two races as Denny finished just 3.068 seconds ahead in the second event.
“I was hoping for no caution,” Hamlin said of the final 51 run. “I knew we had the car, and I was just kind of maintaining my gap right there — didn’t want to make any mistakes like I did at Bristol and gave that win away.”
“I just tried to work through the traffic the best I could, and obviously, Chris was paying attention to the strategy there and made the right call.”
Hamlin not only tied with Jeff Gordon for most victories at the location on Sunday, but also notched his 41st career win in total.
