LeBron James, along with his long-time business partner and professional sports agent, and Maverick Carter have officially unveiled their voting rights group termed “More Than A Vote.”
The organization will focus on increasing voter turnout amongst the African-American and minority communities, as well as encouraging those discouraged from participating in politics and educating the disenfranchised.
James announced the rolling out of the platform via his Instagram account, which he used to welcome a plethora of other partners to the movement as well as athletes and powerful influencers continue to hop on board with him.
Maverick Carter was quoted as saying the black community needs to first “come up with real asks” and determine what your goals are, what you want from your elected officials in order to begin making sound decisions and exercising your voting rights accordingly.
