In what turned out to be a fairly entertaining round of “extra” golf between a crossover of football and PGA Tour legends, Tom Brady did his signature Tom Brady move in almost mounting a comeback to win the event with Phil Mickelson.

Much of the appeal and fun of the event came from the fact that the players were mic’d up for the tournament, which provided us all with some insight and audio of these four personalities we may have not typically been able to see.
The event served to raise $20 million dollars to be put towards various COVID-19 relief funds, and was a great source of interim Sunday entertainment for us all.
Despite being a great game for the viewers, it didn’t start out that way for Brady, who was hitting some shots out of bounds, in the rough, and just having an atypical start to the front 9.
Saints head coach Sean Payton took full advantage of this opportunity, taking to social media to troll Tom Brady for his early game woes, saying that he’s “liking this Florida Tom Brady right now.”
This wouldn’t be the first time Payton has taken a subtle, friendly shot at Brady, and it certainly won’t be the last as the two are now scheduled to face off against one another twice a year for the next couple seasons in whats anticipated to be a highly contested division.

Brady wasn’t able to quite pull off the comeback yesterday, but he’ll have another comeback of sorts he’ll need to pull of this season after having left the only franchise and coach he’s ever known, and at age 42, he definitely has something to prove.
