Cameron Diaz, 47, An American actress, writer and former model newly titled as ‘wife’ and ‘mother’ shares that she likes how “things unravel and life reveals itself to you.” She explained her past difficulties to Chelsea Handler during a 2012 interview, “But I do want my own family eventually, however that comes to me, whether it’s through adoption or [through another method].” Diaz announced without the knowledge of what was in store for her within the next couple years. In February 2016, Diaz found herself the happiest she’s been with Benji Madden. It’s reported that she was “itching” for motherhood. The couples desire for children were long overdue and well known.
With that, an anonymous source told usmagazine.com that the actress would love to be a mom. The insider added, “It just hasn’t worked out yet. They don’t know exactly what it will look like, whether it will be natural or through adoption or surrogacy, but they aren’t giving up. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions, yet they still believe there will be a happy ending.” Just a few years later, the Golden Globe winner obtained the best award: being a loved wife and mother. Diaz says, “Marriage is certainly hard, and it’s a lot of work. You need somebody who’s willing to do the work with you, because there’s no 60-40 in marriage. It’s 50-50, period. All the time.”
She also explains her difficult decision to push parenthood in an early 2012 interview, “I thought I was going to be married and have two children by the time I was 21. I think I felt I had to model my life after my mother’s.” Then she explained her career was just starting to take off, so any parenthood plans had to be put on pause.
Even though Benji Madden hadn’t gone through the pain Diaz had, he always lets her know that “this is their struggle and they’re in it together.” After that experience, she “never put a timeline on anything in her life.” Now, she has settled in, she feels fulfilled and her wish to start a family has been graciously granted. With no time to waste, Diaz has decided to take some time out of the spotlight to focus on starting a family with Madden.
