Lori Loughlin and her husband have been accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to get their 2 daughters accepted into the University of Southern California. Reports say, “Lori and Mossimo Giannulli have been charged with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, honest services fraud, money laundering and federal programs bribery.” The Fuller House star known as ‘Aunt Becky’ pleaded not guilty, and continues to work on her case. Loughlin hires an expert to prepare her for a possible sentence of 45 years in prison.
As a result of her fears and instead of pleading guilty, Lori Loughlin attempts to get ready for her sentence of 45 years in jail. She hired an expert to help her out. She is learning how to protect herself by practicing martial arts and her ‘prison lingo.’ Prison may either be a “sink or swim” for her but Loughlin does not intend to “take the abuse without a fight,” a source told thehollywoodunlocked.com. In addition to her physical training, she’s receiving advice from prison professors as well. Apparently, “she is breaking down. She truly feels at her very worst. People are coming out in support of her lately but she is afraid to open up. She’s concerned if she talks to the wrong people that her opinions will get out and affect the case” an anonymous source reported.
Federal prosecutors have arrested the couple among other high-profile parents who were included in this admissions scam. 11 of the parents pleaded not guilty and 19 of them pleaded guilty. Former real estate executive, Toby Macfarlane’s case is surprisingly similar to Loughlin’s. He was “sentenced to six months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud,” according to theblast.com. Macfarlane lied about his children’s athletic extra curricular and paid $450,000 in bribes also to USC. Since he admitted to this lie, his sentenced was shortened. If Loughlin took the responsibility, she’d only face 2-3 years instead of 45. Even though 2-3 years is much shorter, she is still terrified and wants to be prepared for the worst.
Lori Loughlin – an actress, loving mother, and a gracious friend. Her friends and family feel devastated because she’s always been a good person to them. They know that their friend can be facing jail time for her poor judgement. Those closest to her continue to support her and remind her “if she can do this, she can get through this.” Even her daughters feel sorry for her. They feel guilty because the two siblings know that their mother only wanted to help them.
The source continues, “They know their mother is a good person, and don’t want her to suffer in any way. ” The siblings understand that her mother was only trying to help them with their futures. Out of all this, Olivia Jade Ginnulli and Isabella Rose Giannulli are still not enrolled at USC. They are unable to share any additional information due to student privacy laws.
