Antonio Brown has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. The timeline has been a whirlwind of highs and lows. Brown was traded from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Oakland Raiders in March 2019 after drama and tension between Steelers star Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and head coach Mike Tomlin. Shortly after joining the Raiders, Brown is back in the headlines with multiple grievances against the NFL for the new helmet policy. As Antonio Brown appeals to the policy, he misses multiple practices with the Raiders, who fines him. Later that same week, Brown posts a letter he received from Raiders general manager Mike Mayock to his social media. The tension between Mike Mayock and Brown clash at a practice. As Raiders consider suspending Antonio Brown, he issues a public apology to his team. Antonio Brown, still apparently not happy with the situation, decides to release a private phone conversation between him and Raiders coach Jay Gruden. Before ever playing a snap for the Raiders, Antonio Brown is fined and then granted his request for a release.
In between being released from the Oakland Raiders and joining the New England Patriots, a sexual assault case comes to light against Brown. Brown is accused of rape by his former trainer Brittney Taylor. Over the course of a few days, Brown would return to social media antics as the bombshell plays out. After the NFL announces an investigation into the allegations, the New England Patriots release their newest star receiver. While the investigation is still ongoing, Antonio Brown has since launched a countersuit against Britney Taylor.
