Kevin Spacey has posted a bizarre Christmas Eve video online. This video comes one year after another video he posted where he allegedly defended himself against his several sexual misconduct charges.
This year’s video, which the actor posted on Tuesday, shows him dressed as his House of Cards character Frank Underwood, and speaking in the character’s southern drawl as he pokes at a fire in a festive sweater.
“You didn’t really think I was going to miss the opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas, did you?” he says in the beginning of the video.
Spacey, 60, goes on to talk about how this has been a pretty good year for him, speaking of how he got his health back. He then adds that he wants to “cast his vote for more good in this world,’ which, as stated by ABC News, is an apparent reference to upcoming elections.
Spacey continues, saying: “I know what you’re thinking, ‘Can he be serious?’ I’m dead serious.”
The Oscar winner takes on an eerie tone as he adds: “The next time someone does something you don’t like, you can go on the attack,” he says. “But you can also hold your fire and do the unexpected. You can … kill them with kindness.”
The 59 second video, titled KTWK, an acronym for the phrase “kill them with kindness,” ends with rather ominous music. The posted was posted to both Space’s Twitter and Youtube accounts and the comments ranged from apprehension, surprise and disgust.
Spacey has kept a rather low profile this year after dealing with the scandals. The Los Angles Times said: “[the video] could only be interpreted as his way of dealing with the scandals enveloping his life and career.”
In Spacey’s previous video which he also posted on Christmas Eve of last year, he as allegedly defending himself from the scandals.
Here the ex-House of Cards actor is his character Frank from the show, which he was fired from shortly after the accusations came out. He titled that video “Let me be Frank,” and appears in festive attire and delivers a three minute monologue.
In 2017 Spacey was fired from “House of Cards” after multiple sexual misconduct and assault allegations were filed against him. Earlier this year Spacey faced a case in Massachusetts for indecent assault and battery. That case was dropped in July, according to The Los Angeles Times “after Spacey’s accuser refused to testify about a missing cell phone that the defense said contained information that supported the actor’s claims of innocence. The civil case stemming from the same alleged incident was dismissed prior to that.”
Later another case came out involving Spacey and a massage therapist. The masseur accused Spacey of groping him. That case was closed in October after the masseur unexpectedly died before the trail began.
According to ABC News, He is still under investigation in London for several alleged sexual misconduct instances.”
