Plex Officially Launches New Free TV And Movie Streaming Service

Today, Plex launched it’s new free streaming service that is ad-supported. This service will provied a large catalogue of movies and TV shows. This service will have movies from major and smaller indie studios.

This new streaming service will be avaliable on all platforms, on any device. Like most free streaming services, there will be ad’s that are required to play while streaming. Users will not have the ability to fast forward these ad’s, due to the streaming being free.

In addition to this new launch. Plex has also updated their content and streaming quality. They will have the ability to recommend movies and TV shows based on the the users personal media content on their streaming device. This service will be available in over 200 countries.

As expected from a streaming service like Plex, users are required to subscribe in order to enjoy the free movies and TV. As of today Plex has over 15 million households subscribed to thier streaming service. Accorimg to Plex the goal is to bring all of their users favorite content to one place.
