This Sunday, The Broncos and the Chargers face off. The Broncos come in 3-8, and the chargers are 47 on the season. This is a rematch from the earlier season game on October 6th, where the Broncos emerged victorious in a 20-13 victory over the chargers. Now the two struggling teams face off once more in the season, both team’s playoff dreams down the drain in this showdown of lesser teams.

The Chargers come in off a by week after two straight losses to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Oakland Raiders. This week they head into the match as 2.5 favorites per CBSsports over the Denver Broncos. A win on Sunday could bode well for their playoff chances but won’t push the margin too much.

Denver also comes in struggling from two losses to the Minnesota Vikings and the Buffalo Bills. Denver is facing the problem at quarterback heading into this contest. Joe Flacko is still recovering from his neck injury, leaving Brandon Allen to take the mantle. The Broncos’ rookie quarterback Drew Lock is currently recovering from a thumb injury but could see playing time this week according to bleacherreport. With the uncertainty of quarterback coming in Denver looks to be in trouble of having to throw the rest of the season away. With a team of some good talent on the roster, the disappointment is only mounting.

Both teams seek to find areas to build upon as the season wanes. With both teams at the bottom of the NFL standings, the best possible outcome for this game is to achieve some type of improvement and look hopeful towards the 2020 season. This Sunday will look more like the battle of moral victories for both teams, as both have little hopes for the postseason at this juncture in week 13.
